Cheryl Jett |
Cheryl enjoys working
with small and/or emerging organizations whose focus is the arts or
history. She comes from a family of
musicians, has been involved in the arts all her life, and spent many years
as a music teacher. Cheryl holds a
B.A. and an M.A in American History, with a minor in Art. She served as the
Executive Director of Cahokia Mounds Museum Society at Cahokia Mounds State
Historic Site for several years and also served as
Secretary-Treasurer on the board of directors of the Illinois Chapter of the
Trail of Tears Association for four years. She was a 2007 recipient of a
Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation grant for research on Native American women’s
activities during World War II; currently, she is working on a book based on
that research. Her first book, |
